The City of Stratford is located in southwestern Ontario, on the Avon River. The City is home to an ever growing population of 31,465. Every year the Stratford Festival stages modern and Shakespearean plays in multiple theatres, with over 500,000 visitors from all over taking part in the festivities.
With joint funding under the federal Public Transit Infrastructure Stream of the Government of Canada, the City of Stratford completed in April 2019 a $2.2 million dollar project with the scope of completely revamping their downtown transit terminal.
The new terminal is in line with user’s needs and includes many updates to the existing site, notably a new driver's rest station building.
The project included an improvement that was very well received by citizens as well, new heated bus shelters.
This new transit terminal provides a modern and safe transit solution to users, who are able to leave their car behind to get places within the City.
